What I've learnt:
Both Uncut and NME readers are both quite trendy, and are both pretty modernised and up-to-date with the new technologies available to them. Both magazines have a higher male readership that female, with NME having 74%, and Uncut having 86%. However, the average age for Uncut's readers is higher (37) than NME's readers (23).
By reading this, I have learnt that in order to make a magazine in this genre that would sell well, I would need to aim it at young, mostly male readers, and make sure that it is in keeping with modern technology and relevant news. I think I should also stick to one or two genres of music to concentrate my readers, and get as many loyal readers in as fewer genres as possible.
